RexDouglass argues math has almost no metascience tradition or research design training, so claims that "AI slop" is uniquely worse rest on wrong interpretations of weak evidence. Both AI and human work are full of slop and correctness rates for either are unknown; focusing only on failures is a rookie inference mistake — yet participants invoke unique expert knowledge to justify it.
