Google Cloud's August AI infrastructure roundup highlights: Filestore now runs on a Colossus-based backend with IOPS provisionable independently of capacity and deep GKE integration for agentic swarms sharing datasets; and, in partnership with Anyscale, gVisor sandboxes are now available in distributed Ray clusters on GKE, offering stronger isolation than containers with fast startup and low memory overhead. The newsletter also flags fully stateless MCP and a customer cutting pipeline costs 90%.
