DeepMind researcher Samuel Albanie called AI's fall of the Navier-Stokes problem "an epic achievement for humanity" and "a worthy adversary," while noting harder open problems like alignment remain. He says he feels "at least 3% more inspired than earlier today — maybe 3.5%."
