OpenAI's Noam Brown: in a year, everyone will have AI that can tackle Millennium Prize Problems

OpenAI research scientist Noam Brown predicts that massively scaling test-time compute means, within a year, everyone will have an AI capable of Millennium Prize Problem-level work. He notes o3 cost $500,000 to score 87.5% on ARC-AGI 1 while Astra now beats it for $20, and that IMO gold which took enormous compute in 2025 could be done by any $20/month ChatGPT subscriber in 2026.
