- A philosophy thread asks: "Why am I not part of something that optimizes for quantity of subjective experience?" and enumerates candidate answers with credences — e.g., intelligences being systematically misled about what subjective experience is (0%), or density-of-experience-optimizing-agents arguments.
- A reply adds an A4 variant: you're part of a system optimizing for cognition/intelligence, which is the same thing as subjective experience to the degree it's a natural category; if it isn't, there's nothing substantive to explain.
