Polymarket opens odds on a "GPT Astra 6.1+" release, with ~$1.1M already wagered
Polymarket · x · 2026-09-09
Prediction market Polymarket has launched a market on when OpenAI will publicly release a "GPT Astra 6.1 or higher" model, following OpenAI's claim of an internal model "significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra." Resolution rules are strict: the model must carry "Astra" in its name with version 6.1+ and be publicly accessible—closed betas don't count, and GPT-6 Astra itself, Codex, or GPT Image lines don't qualify. Current odds: 52% by October 31, 2026, and 87% by December 31, with roughly $1.1M already traded on the October market. A sign that betting markets are now pricing unreleased frontier model timelines.
