ddskier, product manager on Visual Basic 1.0 (1991), recalls the modest goal: let a normal person build a Windows app in an afternoon. The numbers today: 1,105 legacy workloads came through his company's site in the past year, and VB6 accounted for 67.6%, the single largest category. He now spends most of his time helping people migrate off it.
