Bubeck clarifies credit dispute: OpenAI reached out to HuggingFace only to coordinate releases

OpenAI's Sebastien Bubeck publicly clarified the credit dispute around the Millennium Problem solve:

1) The leaked screenshot was him proactively contacting Levent (HuggingFace side) to coordinate release timing — "we came in with the best possible intentions";

2) He never asked for Levent to be removed from authorship of his own work;

3) He learned only during a call with Tristan that the other team had solved just the Euler case, not the full problem.

Followers backed Bubeck, saying his team acted in good faith while Tristan overreacted. This is the first-hand account from one side of the cross-team release clash.
