Boaz Barak: Soon claims of human assistance in AI theorem proving will sound like Kasparov vs Deep Blue

Harvard computer scientist Boaz Barak invoked Kasparov's Deep Blue matches to comment on the current AI theorem-proving controversy: Kasparov was so unsettled that he at one point claimed there must be human assistance behind Deep Blue, because it is hard to accept machines surpassing us at what we have spent our lives mastering. Barak argues that soon, claims that a model needed human assistance to prove a theorem will make no sense — just as in chess.
