After two days of trying Astra + Codex via the ChatGPT Windows app, a user finds the agent itself solid but the desktop client deeply broken: fans spin up even when idle, the Google Pay button silently fails (Stripe works), project creation UX is confusing with lost names, the prompt box lags up to 2 seconds per keystroke, projects take 5s to reopen, and typing a prompt quickly once froze the entire Windows UI, forcing a full restart.
