Roboticist: Understanding physical interaction, not just foundation models, is key to next-gen robots
GeorgiaChal · x · 2026-09-09
Robotics researcher Georgia Chal argued the interesting question is how to combine agentic systems and foundation models, not whether one subsumes the other. She is bullish on both, but stressed that much remains unknown about physical interaction and embodiment — and that understanding will be key to building the next generation of robotic systems.
