After Liquid was hacked, the attacker used Bitcoin's OPRETURN field to send messages to the company, sparking an on-chain back-and-forth. Adam McBride reconstructed the full exchange between Liquid and the whitehat (or hacker) as text messages, showing how on-chain messaging became an unusual negotiation channel. The actor's true intent remains ambiguous.
