paulbz, whose fund led the first cheque into Mistral three years ago, recalls that plenty of people privately (and some publicly) called it a mistake. Mistral has now announced a €3B Series D — the largest equity round ever raised by a European tech company — and he argues the team is building an incredible business and is still just getting started.
