ECCV 2026 AI4VA workshop reveals 14 accepted papers, Björn Ommer among keynote speakers

The 4th AI for Visual Arts (AI4VA) workshop will run on the afternoon of September 9, 2026 in Malmö, Sweden, focusing on how computer vision perceives and generates abstraction across artistic and cultural imagery.
- All 14 accepted papers are now publicly readable on OpenReview
- Topics span abstraction perception in painting, comics, film, typography, sculpture and heritage artefacts, provenance, and digitisation/restoration of cultural heritage
- This edition expands toward generative and agentic creativity: world models for cinematic simulation, long-form video generation for storyboarding, neural 3D representations, and agentic workflows for art and storytelling
