A shared set of AEO (answer engine optimization) lessons learned from benchmark work:

Sections must stand alone: only selected passages reach the answering model, so answer directly within each section, name the subject explicitly instead of vague references like "this approach," and state relevant conditions and limitations nearby.
Key info must survive as plain text: pages get simplified during retrieval—give charts written takeaways, tables clear column labels, and never rely on color, icons, or placement to convey meaning.
