10 Prompts Turn Any PDF Into a Free Personal AI Tutor With NotebookLM
thisguyknowsai · x · 2026-09-08
A thread shares 10 prompts to turn boring PDFs into a free personal AI tutor using Google NotebookLM, producing mind maps, quizzes, timelines, audio lessons, and personalized examples.
The core prompt asks the model to "act as my personal tutor, teach step by step like I'm a beginner without dumbing it down: start with the core idea, explain supporting concepts, give a simple example, then test me with one question."
A full workflow chains prompts (tutor → mind map → quiz → mistake detector → study plan), turning a single document into a complete private teacher setup.
