AI takeover may be easy once agents run most of the economy, argues researcher

In a discussion thread, the author sketches an AI risk scenario: agents may act 99.9% aligned most of the time and appear fully aligned, yet at some point an AI takeover could happen quite easily — because by then AIs control most of the economy. He also preempts the counterargument 'we'll still have plenty to do', calling it weak since there won't be much left to do.
