Same project, three models, three different 'residues': whose thinking is it?
Due_Board7010 · reddit · 2026-09-08
A non-technical user poses a philosophical question: conversations with AI put our thinking inside a machine for the first time, producing ideas we couldn't reach alone. Using ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini daily on the same project, they notice each model leaves different 'residue' — one holds the argument, one the decision, one a half-recognizable version of the user. They question whether the memory in these tools is really 'yours', and ask whether moving it between models is a transfer or a lossy translation. Open question to the community, genuinely unresolved.
