AI-designed rentosertib is first drug to reverse six aging clocks in trials
MaxUnfried · x · 2026-09-08
Insilico Medicine's Nature Biotechnology study applied six independent proteomic aging clocks to blood samples from a randomized phase 2a trial of rentosertib (for IPF). Every clock detected a treatment-associated shift toward a younger proteomic profile, with strongest cross-clock agreement at four weeks — the first drug to reverse multiple aging clocks in a randomized human trial, and the first AI-generated drug for an AI-discovered target to reach phase 3.
