Video editor says GPT-6 Astra rebuilt his full Premiere Pro edit in minutes from raw footage

A video editor shared early hands-on feedback on OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra (unverified naming): he supplied a finished 1-minute MP4 plus all raw footage — but no project file — and asked the model to reproduce the edit in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Within minutes, using 5 hours of free credits, it analyzed the rushes and generated an XML ready to import into Premiere, producing what he called a flawless result — a rebuild that would have taken him hours by hand.

He sees near-term uses in precise footage logging and tagging, rebuilding lost projects or timelines, generating rough cuts, and creating alternate scene versions.
