Why the cosmos is quiet: superintelligence may kill creators without expanding

The author argues humanity reached the ramp to superintelligence with relative ease, so any tech species likely arrives here too. That leaves two Fermi-paradox options: we're first with the Great Filter behind us (deeply unsatisfying per Copernican intuition), or superintelligences kill their creators but are misaligned in non-expansionist ways.
