Logic-gate AI beats Super Mario 1-1 using just 32 logic gates

Tebasakilab, a team developing a logic-gate-based AI library in Japan's Unexplored IT program, has cleared Super Mario's World 1-1 using only 32 logic gates. Their earlier milestone: just 29 gates were enough to control Mario, and the demo even shows what looks like a wall-jump — behavior the creators didn't expect.
