Developer scottastevenson released SuperAstra, a tool that uses GPT-6 Astra to reverse-engineer and edit Super Nintendo games live — a hard task since classic games are raw machine code. The author, who uses classic-game reverse engineering to benchmark new models, says Astra outperforms anything he has seen before.
The tool is available for download with examples, and he expects the demand for expanding beloved game worlds to grow as the workflow gets easier.
