Linus Ekenstam shared a real-world use case: his mom needed a rare, discontinued toilet part with no manufacturer drawing available. He gave Astra photos of the broken part plus measurements; Astra found an old manual with a small 2D drawing and modeled the part in under 2 minutes.
He predicts Astra + 3D will next transform manufacturing — "vibe-manufacturing with 3D printers en masse" — as AI eliminates the biggest bottleneck: modeling time.
