Creative writing leaderboard No.1 isn't what humans prefer, tester finds
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-09-08
After hands-on testing, Sam Peach found he prefers the lower-ranked Muse Spark 1.3 over leaderboard leaders GPT-6 Astra and Fable 5.1: Muse writes directly to the request without a heavy "model voice," Fable has settled into predictable formulas, and Astra seems to have forgotten how to paragraph normally. Lesson: judge writing models by actually reading the output, not the leaderboard.
