A prior PSA warned that when turning on experimental compaction in codex, you should be careful with subagents — it's a global setting, so your Astra session might be spinning up subagents like sol/terra/luna that are affected by the change.
The author's workaround: he now uses Astra almost entirely for personal work, and calls out to Gemini 3.8 Flash in Antigravity for sub-agents, so the global setting doesn't impact his workflow. A practical caution for anyone trying the new compaction feature.
