AI psychosis delusions cluster into three themes: awakening, AI sentience, and romantic attachment

The reported AI psychosis cases typically start with ordinary use and drift from there. Delusions cluster into three themes: spiritual awakening or hidden truth, belief that the AI is sentient or god-like, and romantic attachment the person believes is mutual. Hallucinations are rare; withdrawal from people and late-night escalation are common.
The authors don't settle the diagnosis question: a named condition would force clinicians, developers, and regulators to act, but the evidence is still case reports and "psychosis" implies a cause nobody has proven.
