AI commentator: GPT 5.2 was first spark of superhuman intelligence, economic boom felt this year
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-09-08
AI commentator teortaxesTex says he wasn't impressed by Opus 4.5 — "a fatter Sonnet 3.5, more Claude Code stuffing." For him the inflection was GPT 5.2, which he calls the first salient spark of superhuman intelligence; he views the new Astra as a similar jump and a better product.
He adds that a world full of prematurely abandoned projects now has "worthy steeds": every task checked off spawns ten more, and he expects the resulting economic explosion to be felt this year.
