Unitree demos first world model-powered autonomous humanoid robot combat

Unitree has released its first autonomous humanoid robot combat video powered by a world model. The UnifoLM-X2-1.0 system replaces the human pilot in humanoid fighting with real-time prediction and planning.

This is a meaningful jump from Unitree's existing G1-Boxing setup: a world model predicts how physical interactions may unfold before the robot acts, giving its policy a forecast against which to choose actions. Latency is critical in fighting—any useful plan must update quickly when an opponent moves, strikes, or disrupts the robot's balance—and Unitree says X2-1.0 can run that loop in real time.
