Dev builds visual fine-tuning tool: tweak AI-generated sites by drag, edits write back to code

Fun-Disaster4212 · reddit · 2026-09-08

A developer built a tool that fixes a common pain point with AI-generated websites: instead of re-prompting to nudge spacing or resize an image, you click, drag, resize, edit text, or swap images directly on the page, and changes are saved back into the code.

Features include drag/resize/text editing, image and background changes with local uploads, side-by-side desktop/tablet/mobile previews with canvas zoom, container or element selection, edit history with undo/redo, and HTML support (experimental React/Next.js). It's early stage; the author is asking whether to open-source it.
