Flock's surveillance cameras are being vandalized so often that police departments are asking competitor Axon to redesign its cameras so they don't resemble Flock's. On a webinar titled "From backlash to trust," Axon's CEO confirmed the company is exploring new shapes and mounting cameras higher on streetlights because they're "harder to vandalize" — one officer even asked for design changes to "help with the optics." Axon subsequently deleted the webinar. The author notes the response was physical evasion rather than better privacy protections or transparency.
