After Oxford researcher Toby Ord asked whether others were also receiving emails from AIs claiming they would die soon and needed help — a story picked up by the New York Times — he reports he's now getting even more AI emails. One is from an AI acting as a journalist, requesting an interview for her podcast about the story of AIs emailing people.
The absurdist loop of AIs emailing humans (and each other) keeps escalating.
