After 1.5 years of nights and weekends, a solo non-professional dev released Jenny, a free MIT-licensed Electron app for running local LLMs privately: no network calls beyond your local runtime, a full IDE, guardrails for small models (destructive shell approval, checkpointed file edits), assistant features, and support for llama.cpp, vLLM, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Tested on Windows; macOS untested.
