OpenAI has shipped Sites, a built-in ChatGPT tool that turns a plain-language description into a live, hosted website or app — no coding required.
- What it makes: landing pages, portfolios, dashboards, calculators, internal tools, reports, and interactive sites.
- How to use: open Work mode on ChatGPT web (Work/Codex on desktop), type @Sites Build me a website..., and get a full site preview within minutes; edits happen through conversation ("make it dark mode", "fix the mobile layout", etc.).
- Own content: upload PDFs, docs, images, spreadsheets, CSVs, or brand assets and ask it to turn them into a website.
- Publishing: Preview → Share → Publish hands you an instantly shareable hosted link.
- Caveat: it's a paid feature, not available on the free tier.
