Indie developer 向阳乔木 released Qiaomu AI RSS, an official Obsidian plugin that turns the note app into an AI-news reader and study tool.
Highlights:
- Bundles 46 curated AI newsletters with AI translation/rewriting; switch between original, translated, and rewritten views, with missing versions explicitly shown rather than auto-generated.
- Ships 1,342 curated Chinese indie blogs plus 9 featured authors with one-click subscribe; also supports custom RSS/Atom feeds (OPML import/export) fetched locally without an account.
- Can read local Markdown folders as feeds; installs from the official plugin directory.
- Reading experience: built-in Zhuque Fangsong font, 14–32px sizing, 1.5–2.4x line spacing, adjustable measure, two-pane layout, locally cached images.
- Note integration: select any text/image to clip into the Daily Note or current note, with internal links that reopen the saved article; drag-and-drop images into notes.
- External HTML is sanitized so scripts and embeds never run.
A companion Qiaomu AI RSS reader app is in beta and launching soon.
