Google shipped agentic video understanding in Gemini last week. Instead of ingesting every frame, the model dynamically navigates the timeline, cutting token usage by up to 88% and costs by up to 66%. It also supports YouTube links and can be tested in Google AI Studio (toggle it on in settings).
