MIT Tech Review: as AI makes output cheap, judgment becomes the real edge

Citing MIT Technology Review, this thread argues AI makes producing work easier but not better — the root of "AI work slop." More documents, slides, and emails don't mean more value. As execution gets cheaper, judgment gets more expensive: the advantage goes to those who know what's worth producing, what's accurate, useful, strategic, or should be cut. AI doesn't remove the need for expertise; it exposes its absence. Quality control becomes the differentiator when everyone can produce faster.
