Designer tomjohndesign vents that AI, for all its strengths, is just not good at clean UI architecture by default — inconsistent layouts and poor information architecture. He had Astra dump every scrap of UI into a Paper doc for review, plans to add strict rules and gut much of the app's UI, and is considering refactoring to BaseUI.
