Simulated fruit fly brain gets to "play" Bad Apple in viral demo
SALM0N_SLD · reddit · 2026-09-07
A Reddit post shares a video of researchers running a full simulation of a fruit fly's brain and using it to "play" the classic Bad Apple animation.
The demo builds on fruit fly connectome research, mapping the complete neural wiring into simulation to drive behavior — a fun, boundary-pushing showcase of whole-brain emulation rather than a technical writeup.
