Agents now sit between users and databases: EDB engineer to share observability lessons at PGDay

EDB engineer Abilge Gunduz will speak at PGDay UK (Sept 8) and PGDay Lowlands (Sept 10) with a talk titled "Your Database Has No Idea Who's Asking".
Her thesis: AI has rewired how apps connect to databases — agents increasingly sit between users and data, making several questions much harder to answer:
- Who is actually accessing your data?
- What are they accessing?
- How do you verify an AI agent's generated insight is correct?
Her work at EDB covers both sides: observability of agentic database access and making agents reliably reason over enterprise data. The talk promises lessons, failures, and benchmarking results.
