After Jensen Huang's Sept 7 tweet declaring 'AGI has arrived' with GPT-6 Astra trained on 100K+ Grace Blackwell NVLink72, a Reddit user subscribed and burned through $200 in 8 hours. Impressed at first, he found on closer inspection that 3 of 4 tasks produced non-working output. Astra's demos focus on 3D/Blender/games, but for coding and agentic use he saw no improvement, with 2+ hours per task making iteration nearly impossible. He concludes it's closer to a coordinated marketing stunt, and has gone back to KIMI K.3 + DeepSeek flash — though $400+/month across OpenAI and Claude plans still stings.
