Similarweb's Gen AI website traffic share update for August 2026 shows ChatGPT dropping from 73.3% a year ago to 55.5% last month, with Gemini climbing from 12.9% to 25.6% and Claude surging from 1.9% to 9.3%. DeepSeek (3.4%), Grok (2.4%), Copilot (1.6%) and Perplexity (0.9%, declining) round out the field.
