Knowledge work is much harder for agents to automate than code, argues Matt Pocock

Developer Matt Pocock argues we underestimate how easy software development is for agents, because coding uniquely offers: high-quality automated feedback loops (types, tests), well-organized searchable free documentation, simple workspaces with version control, and a long history of systematizing and delegating work (sprints, tickets, specs). General knowledge work has none of these advantages, making it far harder for agents to automate.
