Magento founder Roy Rubin shares his first 48 hours with Instinct: he ran three hotel bookings, four restaurant reservations, several excursions and product purchases through WhatsApp — all by leaving voice notes that the agent executed.
His core take: the moment everyone predicted has arrived. No new technology was introduced; the genius is packaging existing capability into the right interface. After 25 years building commerce on the assumption that a human has to arrive somewhere first (Magento served 250,000 merchants with $100B+ annual GMV before eBay acquired it), he believes that assumption is no longer true.
