A developer showcased a project built entirely by GPT-6 Astra in xhigh reasoning mode: assets reverse-engineered from a PS2 disc image of The Simpsons: Hit & Run and rebuilt with three.js into a playable browser version — no emulator required.
The project is open source (Vheissu/hit-and-run-web on GitHub), ships with converted assets so you can clone and play, supports the original campaign, bonus missions and races via converted mission scripts, and includes Blender remaster tools. Full playthrough testing is ongoing.
