Hugo Bowne-Anderson explains how he runs substantial parts of his business with an agentic software factory. The setup is surprisingly accessible: an LLM plus a harness (e.g., Codex Desktop or Hermes), with automations and triggers so agents do useful background work without manual kickoff.
The hard part is specification and verification:
- What context does the agent need?
- What constraints should it work within?
- How do you verify it actually did the job?
- When should decisions come back to you?
Get these right and you can delegate increasingly substantial work. He uses this for research, content production, agentic data science, and core business workflows, and is teaching a course on building such systems.
