Responding to the layoff rumor everyone is asking about, an inside source at Google (relayed by a16z GP Anish Acharya) says nobody was cut — the roadmap just got roughly eight times faster, compressing two years of plans into about three months. The real bottleneck now is deciding what to build next, not headcount.
