Yacine catches AI hallucinating aerodynamics, makes it run OpenFOAM sims
yacineMTB · x · 2026-09-07
Well-known AI engineer Yacine shared a hilarious man-vs-model episode: the AI produced a design that was 'not aerodynamic in the slightest,' yet its output looked convincingly like NASA PDFs. Since he isn't an aerospace engineer, his fix was to make the AI install OpenFOAM and run real CFD simulations on itself — using numerical tools to ground the model. Equal parts funny and instructive on tool-augmented verification.
