Outside the Robotaxi zone: whurley takes an Uber and misses his CyberCab
whurley · x · 2026-09-07
whurley had to take a regular Uber because his destination fell outside the Tesla Robotaxi service area and CyberCab wasn't an option. His verdict on the Uber: not the cleanest, a subtle odor, and it didn't feel safe on wet roads — "I miss my CyberCab."
The anecdote is a sideways data point on Robotaxi's current reality: the service area is still limited, and the contrast with conventional ride-hailing is noticeable.
