Inpaint Canvas: layers, selections and retouching in one ComfyUI node
Direction_Mountain · reddit · 2026-09-07
A new open-source (GPL-3.0) ComfyUI node, Inpaint Canvas, collapses the inpainting loop into one editor: it outputs cropimage and mask into any existing chain (Flux, Flux.2 Klein, Kontext, Qwen Image Edit, SDXL — local or API) and layers results back onto the canvas. Features include layers with blend modes and per-layer color matching, selections (lasso, magic wand, SAM3 text select, RMBG), retouch tools (clone stamp, healing brush), filter/LUT layers, text layers, outpaint/crop by dragging, side-by-side compare, and PSD/OpenRaster export with layers. Helper models free VRAM before local generation.
